Matrix Vs Inception: Opening Theme
Decided to do some random music editing this morning. The opening themes from The Matrix and Inception. This was slightly difficult because the opening to Inception is about 1/5 the length of The Matrix, but whatevs. Not bad for 15min of thought and effort, lol.

Birth of a Book from Glen Milner on Vimeo.
I fear that books will in short time become a thing of the past, and shortly after that become novelties, and shortly after that become scarce. I doubt I’m the only one that would really miss them but so many people I talk to seem to embrace their demise. I suppose the one true redeemer of the process is at least people are still reading, just...

Pouring Rain and 50°
I’m not sure we had a “winter” this year in Hollywood, just some subtle spurts of the idea of winter and perhaps a few longing sighs. I’m a little bummed about the situation as I tend to thrive on cold weather and brisk pangs of cold across the face when I walk out the front door. On the other side of the spectrum I also tend to think of certain genres of fiction during...

Normally I’m not a huge fan of Superman, but in general these are pretty great.

Finally ending the convention high.
Apparently it only takes 3 days to get off a convention high. I don’t know what it is about them but between a sleep schedule being reconfigured and just an overall energy level shift it took a bit to be able to get back to “normal” (not sure if it is entirely a good thing). My only disappointment is that I didn’t manage to take many photos but the best of the lot came from...

Anthropomorphic animals and giant robots? Yes please.

Have I mentioned I love giant robots?
Games like the Armored Core series and Chrome Hounds, and even Zone of Enders have been some of my favorites for years. But unfortunately the “American” audience has never been too keen on mech games and the best multiplayer offering in my opinion was Chrome Hounds to which they shut down the servers a while back :( So you can imagine how excited I was to finally see this:

Adventures in Costuming Part 3: Welcome To The...

Well, my first costuming at a convention experience is complete and it was an amazing ride (I have the sore muscles to prove it). I’ll admit I never really understood why people spent so much time making costumes just to wear them at conventions like WonderCon until I tried it, and what started out as a learning tool and experiment became a pretty amazing time.

So as I mentioned earlier I decided to try my hand at costuming and my first event would be WonderCon 2012. (happening the days I’m typing this no less.) Anywho, so I mentioned the boots in the last post but the bulk of the costume still needed to be sourced. I was actually going to try to match as close as I could to my friend’s S.H.I.E.L.D. suit which is more or...

Reminiscing of Games Past
I couldn’t tell you when it exactly started or why but from a fairly early age I was drawn to games of all sorts. I’ve always enjoyed figuring out puzzles and problems and for the most part games provide new problems to solve. Along with a healthy right brain to fill in the fiction and creative gaps that may occur it really only seems like it was a matter of time from the day I was...

From my Mom
“Some people believe that a couple that spends every day together leads to the death of love, specifically the death of passion – that heady perfume of emotions that takes you to the heights of delight and agony at the same time; they believe that constant closeness leads to a boring and mundane life together. But I believe that there is an even deeper level to aspire to when you truly...

Adventures In Costuming Part 1: The Boots
So for the last 7 days or so I’ve been more or less rushing to put a costume together for WonderCon this weekend. Why a costume you ask? Well as much as I chortle at certain “cosplay” pictures I have seen far more well done costumes that simply make me agape and impressed. Also, through a very random set of occurrences over the last few years (but isn’t this always how it...
